A Foreign Trade Zone is a designated area within or near a U.S. Port of Entry where imported goods receive special Customs treatment, as if they were still outside U.S. commerce. Our San Diego FTZ warehouse helps businesses eliminate duties and tariffs on products destined for international markets.

Sourcing Products for Export?

If you’re sourcing products from international suppliers for re-export, our FTZ program can eliminate U.S. duties and tariffs entirely. The key is maintaining the in-bond chain of custody from import to export. Because goods never enter U.S. Customs territory, they remain exempt from duties and tariffs.

The In-Bond Process

  1. Sourcing: We work with qualified international suppliers to produce your products per your specifications
  2. Arrival: Products ship from overseas and are transported in-bond directly to our San Diego FTZ warehouse
  3. Admission: We admit the goods into our FTZ and report their arrival to U.S. Customs
  4. Warehousing: Products are securely stored in our FTZ facility while maintaining in-bond status
  5. Export: Goods are transported in-bond via bonded carrier to the final U.S. port of exit, accompanied by proper documentation (CBP Form 7512)
  6. Transfer: At the destination bonded facility, goods are transferred to your customs broker’s bond for exportation
